What is GCG?
The Global Consulting Group (GCG) is a student-led charity that provides pro-bono consulting services to other charities and not-for-profits.
We do this by connecting university students with experienced professionals who then work together to solve business problems for other charities, combining the energy and passion of today’s youth with the experience and wisdom of our industry leaders.
We provide you with a unique avenue to apply your skills, to make a genuine impact on students and the community, experiencing personal and professional growth in the process.
Through our advice we bring fresh perspectives and industry best practice allowing you to rapidly overcome the most pressing issues, all at zero cost to your organisation.
We provide you an opportunity to use your academic knowledge and skills on real projects with industry professionals helping build leadership, problem solving and communication skills.
Our sponsors and partners, such as professional firms and university faculties, help us host events, provide training to volunteers and provide us with expertise. In return, we assist with graduate recruitment and scaling up their social impact.
GCG recruits high-performing and passionate university students from top universities to work with real not-for-profits on real projects of organisational relevance. Students are provided with formal and on-the-job training as well as mentoring to develop their core consulting skills
By combining the talents of students and experienced consultants, GCG brings fresh perspectives, industry best practice, staff augmentation and access to networks to allow not-for-profits to rapidly overcome their most pressing issues, all at zero cost.
As a result, not-for-profits are able to operate at their full potential and maximise the impact they are able to make in the community.
“I've worked with many people on both a paid and voluntary basis and the students assigned to our project were exceptional. They were thoughtful, intelligent, capable and diligent…Their reports are now informing our strategic development and allowing us to demonstrate the impact of our work to potential partners and funders.”
